What is Utility Mapping?

Utility mapping, also known as underground service locating, is the process of utilising radar technology to create an accurate map of what services, pipework and utilities lay under the surface. By using this technology, it allows you to pinpoint exactly where and how deep particular utilities are. This gives the operator the ability to mark on the ground the exact position on these utilities. So, when it comes to using non-destructive digging equipment, you won’t accidentally burst a pipe and cause project delays.

Our utility mapping equipment can locate a range of services including:

  • Electrical Cables
  • Concrete Structures
  • Water Pipes
  • Sewage Mains
  • Gas Lines and more
